What is the baile charme AI trend?
Charme is Rio de Janeiro's soul and R&B party dance: small, relaxed steps that a whole crowd does together. On 7 August 2026 the dancer @zenegaooficial posted himself dancing it in the packed night crowd at Pedra do Sal, and the clip passed 1.6 million plays. On 16 October @seuzerj turned that shot into an AI reel of a white-haired grandpa, "Seu Zé de Madureira", captioned "Ninguém botou fé no vovô no baile charme" (nobody believed in grandpa at the baile charme). Since then people have put themselves, their friends, footballers and 80s action heroes in his place.

CapCut template or AI generator?
The CapCut versions paste a face onto a dancer who is already there. This generator films the shot again from your photo: your face, your build and, if you like, your own clothes, doing the charme step in the same crowd, with the same handheld camera and the same floodlights. It can also age you to 75, add a friend or partner, or switch to black and white.

Make the Charme Dance AI trend yourself: what the prompt needs
To make it yourself you need an image-to-video model that takes a reference photo and, ideally, stills and reference audio, such as Seedance 2.0. Text alone rarely gets the step right.
- Handheld, inside the crowd: Describe a phone filming at chest height from inside the crowd, with natural shake. A smooth cinematic camera loses the trend look.
- The place: Night, a packed street party, two big floodlights glaring behind the crowd, old colonial facades and market tents.
- The step in body parts: Models don't know what charme is. Spell it out: look back, shoulder bounce, forearm swing, forward lean with the hand slide, side step, turn.
- Beats with times: Pin each move to a time. Twelve seconds is short, and untimed beats cut the turn.
- Keep the identity and remove text: Say the face, hair and clothes come from the photo, and ask for no captions: the viral reels have burned-in text that models copy.

How to Do the Baile Charme AI Trend
How to do the baile charme AI trend: dance charme in the packed Pedra do Sal crowd in Rio from one photo, like the AI grandpa Seu Zé. Where it came from, the step, six looks, dancing with a friend, the do-it-yourself prompt and the mistakes to avoid.
Photo tips for Charme Dance
- Use a recent, front-facing photo from the waist up; the dancer is close to the phone, so the face and outfit both show.
- With Your outfit, Black and white and the duo looks, whatever you wear in the photo goes to the party: a cap, a football shirt, a chain.
- For With a friend or Couple, use a separate photo of each person, not one photo of both.
Who to cast
- Yourself, as the dancer nobody saw coming
- Your grandpa or grandma, as Seu Zé
